You can't really understand why Mary the Mother of Jesus wears the colors of the Holy Spirit unless you understand Kabbalah and the correlation between Binah and Malkuth.  

But let me try to explain it to you in another way.  The Christian Cross comes from the 4 stations of the Sun.  East is Isis, West is Osiris, North is Horus, and South is Set.  The sun sets in the West representing the dying Father God.  He is killed by Seth (South Sun Set).  Isis has sex with Osiris dead body and conceives his child Horus.  The sun rises in the East.  Horus is High Noon.  That is where the words "Hours" & "Horizon" come from. All 4 are the same, the sun.  The word "same" comes from the Persian word "Shamash" meaning "sun".   This is what is known as Proto-Indo-European and the evolution of human thought and language.
